Dreams of Being Attacked

Dreams of being attacked are fairly common, and they often point to different areas of our lives where we need to pay more attention. Sometimes, the attacker in the dream does not hold much significance, and instead, it is the attack itself that deserves your attention.

Attacks in dreams usually don’t have too much to do with warning you about being attacked in real life, but they may represent internal conflict, your fear of losing control, and your issues of vulnerability.

Putting the fear aside, you should attempt to analyze the dream where you are being attacked for a deeper meaning than the event occurring on the surface. Try and take away as many details as you can, as they’ll help you decipher what your subconscious or spirit is saying to you.

Ask yourself what you are being defensive over – what are you protecting most in your dream. See if your actions could maybe be hurting others. Is the attacker only attacking you? Are there other people involved? Did old patterns lead to you being attacked?

By observing all of the details, and working to try and answer these questions, you will hopefully be able to see more clearly what the dream might mean and if it is a warning that you need to change certain behaviors and take a deeper look at yourself.

Remember that these dreams have little to do with the person attacking you, but instead, your own doubts and fears being attacked and then brought to your attention for a change.

Dreams of Being Attacked By an Invisible Force

Just like a dream where you’re able to see your attacker, dreaming of being attacked by an invisible force speaks more to your internal conflict, your behaviors, and your actions, more than the invisible force itself.

In a way, it is almost your own subconscious attacking you in your dreams. The attack represents internal conflict; deep down, something is wrong. The dream is a way to try and open your eyes to see this, and hopefully help you change your behaviors and patterns.

This type of dream often means that you are having difficulty in a certain aspect of your life, which could be work, finances, or relationships. You might be aware of this issue, or you might not be aware, and the dream is a way for your subconscious to bring it to your attention.

Here are some meanings that dreaming of being attacked by an invisible person might hold for you.

1. Eliminating Fears And Doubts

The invisible force might be attacking fears or doubts that you may have. These doubts and fears could be holding you back from being happy or achieving your goals.

In this case, the attacker does not matter; it has no significance to the dream, other than being the thing that is trying to break down the walls you have built up to protect yourself.

You might feel as though these fears and doubts are legitimate, but if you listen to the dream and take the steps to try and face your anxieties, you might find you are capable of achieving so much more in life.

You might not even be aware of these fears and doubts, as they could be so ingrained into who you are. This is when it becomes even more important to listen to what the dream might be trying to tell you, and pay attention to how you feel when you are being attacked by the invisible force.

2. Highlighting Emotional Vulnerability

There might be an area in your life where you are feeling very vulnerable. This could be in a relationship, at work, or where you live.

You could feel as though you are under an emotional attack in some areas of your life. This is quite common in relationships or between family members. Your brain processes this and presents it to you in this type of dream.

While the dream might be a way for this emotional attack to be manifested, there might also be signs and clues in the dream as to how you could overcome this. If you overcome the invisible attacker in the dream, the clues might be there as to how you could do this in real life.

3. Bad Behaviors

The attack in your dream could be yourself attacking any bad behaviors or patterns that you might have which could be damaging your life. This is a way for your subconscious to bring these bad behaviors and patterns to light, and the attack is a way to show that these behaviors need to go.

The attack might also symbolize the damage that your behavior and your choices are having on your life, and if you do not get rid of them soon, you might lose control and the effects could be serious.

As difficult as it can be to admit fault, and that the way you are living could be harming yourself and others, you need to take this dream as a warning and do what you can to better yourself.

4. A Need to Guard Yourself

The attack might be a sign that you need to protect yourself from a situation or people around you. Our subconscious is amazing at picking up on signs and red flags that we would normally just ignore.

Your subconscious might have picked up on a situation in your life that you need to protect yourself from more. This could be a person you have just met or someone you rely on that may not have your best interests in mind and who could be looking to harm you.

It could also relate to your personal safety. Maybe you aren’t being as careful as you should be and are opening yourself up to harm.

This is another reason why the attacker in the dream is invisible – it is a general warning to guard yourself more and to be careful with who you trust and how you live your life. Listen to the warning in this dream and make sure you try and alter your life to give yourself more security and comfort.

5. Feeling Unsettled

In a world where you are feeling settled and comfortable with your life, you would not be dreaming of being attacked by an invisible force.

This dream is a reminder that you feel unsettled and that something about the way you are living needs to change. Feeling unsettled can really alter who you are and how you act, and this invisible attack on your person can be a perfect representation of this.

Another aspect to consider is how this dream makes you feel once you wake up. You feel unsettled and scared. This is more than likely true for your real life. You’ll need to accept the fact that you are not where you want to be, and that you need to make changes to be happier.

Dreaming of Being Dragged By an Invisible Force

Dreaming of being dragged by an invisible force can be even more terrifying. You don’t know what is pulling you, and you have no idea where you’re going. A dream of being dragged by an invisible force is more than just a nightmare though, and it can hold an important message for you to take note of.

This dream could be a way for you to realize that you are going in the wrong direction in life. You could have made choices that have led you down the wrong path, and now your mind is trying to tell you to go back, to make better choices.

You might feel like you are too far gone to do this, but this dream shows that you are not and that there is still hope.

So next time you wake up from a dream of being dragged away by an invisible force, don’t dwell on the fear, rather use it as motivation to take a different path and make better choices going forward, no matter how hard this might be for you.

Is the Invisible Attacker Important?

The attacker being invisible in your dream is for a reason; it’s not because your mind doesn’t know who might be attacking you.

The focus on the dream should be on the attack itself, and how you feel, not who is attacking you. Most of the time, it could be your own subconscious, mind, or emotions attacking you, trying to draw attention to certain vulnerabilities, doubts, or behaviors that you need to change.

Many people think that the invisible attacker could be a sign of a demonic attack or a dark figure trying to harm you, but these dreams often feel very different, and you will be able to tell the difference between the two.

Most of the time, these dreams of being attacked by an invisible force are there to warn you to change behaviors and other aspects of your life. A demonic dream will feel very different, so just be aware that it is more than likely not an evil spirit trying to harm you.

Do the Weapons Have Meaning?

If the invisible attacker is using weapons, make sure to take note of the weapon used, as the weapon can hold some meaning.

Sword – A sword is a powerful symbol and could show that this has been a lasting problem that you have been dealing with. A sword might also represent that you are losing a larger battle in life, and sometimes this could be quite serious, such as substantial financial loss or even addiction.

The sword is a powerful, ancient weapon, and this usually means that the dream holds significant meaning and demands your attention.

Fire – If the attacker is using fire to harm you, it could be a sign that your temper and anger are the problems, and that you are losing control of these volatile emotions. This could be a sign that your anger is what is controlling your decisions, and you need to fight to regain control.

Gun – A gun is deadly, and another very serious weapon to have used against you in a dream. If the invisible attacker tries to harm you with a gun, it could be a sign that there is someone in your life that you need to be careful around and that your safety and security is at risk.

This could also be a sign that your living circumstances are not safe, and you need to try to protect yourself more from any harm that might come your way.

Knife – A knife is often a symbol in dreams that you might feel threatened, that someone else is taking control over your life.

While a knife might not be as threatening as a sword or gun, it is still deadly and can be a good wake-up call that you need to reevaluate your life and make the necessary changes to take control of your behaviors and actions, or the consequences could be serious.
